I believe so, but have been dealing with other issues with it as well. We suspected a bent valve and John pulled the head last week and the valve was bent and had been hammering the seat and the piston was cracked as well. I am suppose to pick it up this weekend but haven't been able to get a hold of John. I hope to dyno it when I pick it up. I'm hoping around 575hp or so. It should go 600 but I'm not sure at what point my Aurora 3k will limit that. I didn't get any takers on my Diablo Predator I had for sale, so I might throw that in the mix just to see. But at that point I'm guessing I'm past what the turbo will support and pushing or exceeding the limits of the cp3. I'm starting a new job in a couple weeks, but I'm hoping to be able to put twins on it next spring.

That sucks about the vavle and all but at least, hopefully, you got it figured out.

Have you thought about talkinto ats about gettin the 3k bumped up to a 4k or will they not do that?

I wouldn't want any more lag. Plus I already get bad surge while towing on hilly highways. I'll ride this one out until I can do twins.

Wow, I never would have thought surging would be an issue with the 3k.

Do you know what size the comperssor and turbine are? What about the exhaust houseing?

I heard it was similar to a 62/?? but I have never heard any concrete info.

I'm also surprised to hear that the A3K surges on you.

I think twins will fix that though. On my recent trip from Utah to FL towing at least 7k (probably more like 8k) the twins didn't surge once, and it never came out of OD once we descended Parley's. It was fun ripping up those long steep grades in Western Wyoming at 75mph with about 1/2 - 3/4 throttle still left and EGT's under 1200*.

As for who's better between Floor It and II, Floor It was the originator of the modded CP3. 'Nuff said.

ATS has updated their website and now actually give technical info for their turbos.

On the compressor side : Inducer 57.17mm - exducer 83.86
On the exhaust side : Inducer 73.44mm - exducer 63.75

The actual exhaust housing is pretty big and not wastegated. My dad just got an HTT 64/13ss and the 3k housing is similar in diameter but probalby a good inch deeper.
