I'm sold on nawwwwzzzzzz

After playing, and I emphisize playing on the dyno, I've learned to love the stuff. I picked up 60whp just by the owner opening a bottle of nos and spraying it on my filter! rofl. I'll post a vid in a sec.

*edit*

I was wondering what the heck you meant by nawzzzz.... Then I realized you meant nitrous. NITROUS OXIDE. I can't stand when the ricers around here say "nos" instead of spelling N-O-S. When I say NOS they don't even know what I mean.... pisses me off.....

Ok, sorry about the rant. It's all good. I love the stuff too. Ran it on my chevelle for a long time. Let us know how it goes.

453, we didn't bother hooking up the optical pickup because today we're going to make a very nice, well hidden system for it.

The reason I made the topic as "nawwwwwzzzzzz" is because I think it's funny

Today we're going to play with jet sizes after I do a gauge install and do some egt watching on the dyno. At my previous power level I could keep the rollers spinning at 105mph with the emergency brakes set on 100% on the dynojet 248c. You should have heard Merrick's maniacal laughter as he exited my truck

Basically picked up 53hp to the wheels and lowered egts while running 36psi of boost "juicegrip style"

Now that is the budget way of getting nitrous into a motor!! I have a friend that did that a few times with a Dodge Stratus. However, they were way to close to the engine and wound up freezing the MAF sensor a few times before they put a hose and nozzle on the bottle.

From the video, it doesn't sound the nitrous was putting to much more into the engine, but since it was shot in an uncontrolled manner at the filter, I'm sure it had to add something. You said 60hp when he did it, what about torque? I'd guess around 100, maybe?

I dig it.

That is an interesting delivery system , inexpensive and effective on the dyno, but at the track I don't think it will work .

Oh, I have a few friends that volunteered to be strapped to my cow-killer and spray the bottle for me. Hell, I might just weld a seat bracket onto my guard

I'll post some more video today when all the jetting gets taken care of. It will be after I get back from the mudraces though

Being a little different isn't all bad...

Just double up on that cactus juice and it will take you places you've never been!!

Just curious... NOS on a turbo diesel, do you still have to up the Fuel delivery like you do on a gasser?

I think yes to make more power, I mean without the extra fuel, The Nitrous would be wasted...

At least that what I have come to understand - When you have a ton of smoke, the NX will clear it up and make a good amount of HP
