Are you sure you are looking at the correct harness? Not the one on the side thats easy to see, you need the one that is tuck up on top of the left side of the trans and plugs down into the top of the VB. Its close to where the main case and OD mate.
Look at the plug you pull out and one will be marked as a #7, thats the correct wire.

Wrong one, up on that ledge above the harness you found towards the back of it you will find the trans control harness. Its a vertical plug not horizontal.

What "relay thing"? I didn't use one on mine. Just do a search and find info on your specific year truck. Tap into the #7 wire and ground it through a switch and resister and you're done. Your grounding wire will route up to the dash where your switch is mounted and then to a body grounding spot. Mine grounds to metal under the steering wheel behind the plastic lower cover. My switch is on the selector arm where I can hit it with my finger while my hands are on the wheel. Works great.
You'll just have to remember to shut it off when slowing to a stop unless you want a controller to do it for you. If you use it for racing you could easily break a shaft. Don't engage it till the truck is rolling and has upshifted.
The best situation is in the mountains where you are on and off the throttle a lot. It just stays cool and locked like a stick. I lock mine on steep slow roads in second too.

WOW!!!! that lock up switch sould be called he death switch!!!!!!! I have my valve body machined so it wont lock in 1st gear so I dont have to worry about locking/unlocking off of the line. When the truck hits second gear, it light up the tires for all of second and into 3rd(60mph) AND I AM ON 37's!!!! its night and day difference!!!!!!!THe truck wont even spin the tires off of the line without boost launching@ 10 or 15 psi. I dont think i have to worry about broken shafts Everything in the tranny is billet.
