Geez... no kidding about putting down more power than the camotanker. With all the bragging, and fuel mods he has on his site you would have thought he was putting down at least 700 HP. Not saying 599 is bad but with all that fuel.... c'mon. Can we get even get 600? I'll bet he was laughed right off the dyno during the DP challenge.
Hi y'all... if i may.

i was one of the first people to buy a 3rd gen when they first hit the lot. i paid top dollar and was the first on R&D on MANY a product. alot of the product with various vendors that you may be running on your truck may well as been improved by people out there like me. bragging? i have taken alot of pride in the truck that i have built with friends. i don't have a fancy shop and i'm limited in what i can do with my truck. i have an early 03 SO california motor. i don't have the fancy 04.5+ year engine that can make a butt load of power.

as for DP challenge. i can understand where alot of jealousy comes from in this regard. i got lucky, i took a shot being a pioneer with 10 others in the diesel power challenge. no one had any idea what to expect. bondoboy and i were the only ones running #2 only that day. so 585hp that day was NOT last place and i was proud of what the truck did. if it wasn't for the fact of people using NOS / watermeth i would have beaten even more people in that catagory. it wasn't later until i found out R&D'ing another product that my truck would not lose the torque management. i was running 15's WITH torque management. completely untuned i was running 13.9's. many times i have tried racing to see what the truck would produce on the strip i have broke. drag racing is not worth it to me. my truck is set up to sled pull and thats where it will stay. thats what i enjoy.

call it what you want. i have put alot of hard work into my truck to get it where its at. i'm at the same point with everyone else making big power with a 03 SO engine. i plan on doing a few more upgrades so i can be over 600 and closer to 650. you don't think i walk with my tail in between my legs each time i run somebodies product for them with all these promises and i don't break that mark? i have done alot with my truck with the help of friends. you show me someone else on any of these boards making crazy more power than i am with a 03-04 so engine on #2 only with a stage 2 pump and 40" tires.

what you call bragging i take as promoting the sport. i feel i have done alot for the diesel communities. do you have any idea how much attention i bring attention to the sport (good and bad). i put together some pretty bad a*ss videos that others completely enjoy... at NO cost! do you have any idea how many times i get a pm in day from a guy like YOU asking for advice on their truck? the lessons learned? and the tricks i have learned from my 4 years into this 3rd gen diesel stuff. ask chris how he got from 500 to 540. how many people have you had call you out of the blue from the other side of the states to talk diesel performance with you and got your number from 411? i take it all in stride and DO WHAT I CAN TO HELP!

people coming into this sport now have it alot easier than people like me 3-4 years ago. nobody knew what each product would do. crap... its only been in the last year or two that modified cp3's have even come out.

i don't have all the information as guys out there... but i do what i can to promote the sport.

so to you sir. good day!

the twins are Nathan's. he has had really great customer service with these also. they are a smaller set of twins which are great for lower EGT's, greater HP/TQ levels (up to about 600 or so), and very quick spool.

i received these waste gated but because of the size of the twins it was causing more problems than performance. we eliminated the waste gauge and it took me a good 6 months to get the twins dialed in for peak power and the coolest EGT's. they ended up sitting at about 57psi overall and 27psi on the bottom turbo. (the turbos were working ineffeciently at 85psi when i first got them and it was just superheating the air causing the EGT's to sky rocket). i had the color converted also from the standard grey hammer tone to a flashier **** star red... which is a candy apple over crome with silver / gold flake in it. the turbos have been powder coated chrome.

if the turbos ever go bad, one of the benefeits is that they are much more inexpensive to have overhauled than other vendors products.

nathan told me he pushed 600hp out of these. byron and i were only able to make 580ish on both of our trucks with these however that was with limited fuel at the time.

spool is very good with these turbos. much better than a large single and one noticable thing is that all / any surge will be gone with this setup.

He's absolutely right. HE helped me get to 540. He is helping me install the twins(doing it in HIS garage, HIS tools) I got on the forum he runs by invitation and have made alot of good friends that are just like him, sharing the sport.
and his truck is just darn fun to cruise around with, we get lots of attention both good and bad

Well said...

I have had similar a experience as you Camo...

In early...but there for the long haul. I regulary share almost 4 years of tuning experience with a 3rd gen with whomever that asks...so they can go from OEM power to 500-600 plus in one shot without the costly trial and error that I have lived through. That was something it took me years to do also.

I like your ride Camo!

And he has some awesome vids..keep it up bud thats a serious truck you got there.

I get the same thing. When I had my SO up at 500hp there were not many others too far ahead but the new 600s were starting to make that power with alot less work. 600hp is nothing to be ashamed of. I've decided that I'm not going nuts with this 07 but I still get lots of pms from guys with the early trucks when they see what I did with my SO. We took a lot of chances with our $40,000 trucks so these new guys could do it without reservations. Some guys know this and some don't. My feeling is that the majority do know. Camotanker, that's a SuperCool truck. Don't let these young whippersnappers get you down. The ones "In the know" know what you have done. ........

And for God's sake! 40" tires kill your power so don't be ashamed of 599hp! Throw some stockers on there and see how she dynos or runs in the quarter!! Once again, those "In the know" know what's up........

You must mean "#2's" spud gun. You know how pork is considered "The other white meat"? Well, he is considered "The other Dodgezilla" even though there are at least three of us floating around here. You need to come around more often....

I am the one true DODGEZILLA!!!!!!!!!!

I see that this is the I love Camotanker Forum. There aren't many forums around that show the same love. I am just not willing to listen to your BS since you started blaming your 03 SO inadequacies on the power products you used to get your best numbers. Helped the industry? Hah!

I see how it is. I'll just leave it alone, but I still don't agree with what you do or say. You've started sounding like Wade Moody, and you've seen what's happened to him on all the forums.

I'm out.

You can't make everyone happy... even me. If you are referring to the battle with Bobby Wagner... how about you ask Bob how many times he bent me over by not being truthful. Ask Bob how many parts I busted on my dime R&Ding his product. Ask Bob how many Smarty purchases I have brought his way with my videos and word of mouth. Ask Bob about how he gave me a product and then took it away. Plain and simple... if you think that programmer made my truck... you are wrong. In fact, I have dynoed the same numbers with the PPE. The only reason, and Bob knows this, that I bought that product origionally was for which was the torque management delete. Period. And he screwed that up.

As for my love on other sites. Who cares? Seriously! Each board has its own atmoshpere. Pick which one you like and go with it. If you don't like any of them then start your own. Can't hate on that can ya?

I don't know what your purpose is here... but get the facts first. If I could promote Bobs programming device... then I can unpromote it too when it doesn't live up to the hype. Hype sells product.

Debate that fact that myself and others in my position haven't helped the industry grow... but I think the bottom line is that you are a jealous hater. I got nothing but love bro.

I try my best to take care of my vendors... and I **** well expect my vendors to take care of me. Its a two way pal. I have spent way too much money in this business to let used car salesman bend me over repeatedly.

Rant off.
Scott
