IAT Issues?

IAT Issues?
My truck defuels at or near 3000 RPMs with the TNT-R. I was wondering if the IAT could have any effect on it.
Here is what I noticed with the IAT;
1.) The BD Turbo to intercooler line sits right ontop/next to the sensor and the sensor gets hot.
2.) Because they are so close awhile back the the sensor mount sheard off. I noticed the IAT sensor just hanging down in the wheel well. I had to get a new tube from BD and mess with the plumbing to keep them from rubbing. It is not the best design.
3.) How fragile is it?
I am not throwing any codes.
