Garrett 4202?
Garrett 4202?
I just picked up a Garrett turbo so I can get to fabbin up some twins this winter. It appears to be a variant of the 4202. The specs are .75A/R Comp side w/76.6mm inducer and 102.3mm exducer. The trubine is a 1.08 A/R and has a 95mm inducer and a 83.5mm exducer. The comp has a 5" inlet/3.5mm outlet and the turbine has a 5" v band outlet. Looking at the Garrett site this turbo is not listed exactly but is very similar to the GT 4202. Anybody ever seen one before or know where to find a map for it?
Do you have a part number? Is is a ball bearing/water cooled model? What you describe isn't a standard offering for sure.
While there are custom variants out there, all the maps available I am aware of are of the standard issue models. Probably the best guess you are going to get is to compare maps on either side of what you have and just guess that yours will fall somewhere in the middle.

No part number as the tag is missing off the center section. It is not a ball bearing/water cooled model. Looks like it should flow a little more because of the slightly larger comp wheel but what about the large turbine wheel in the relatively small A/R turbine section? Quicker spooling but maybe itll choke a little up top? What do you guys think?
It is puzzling... the EH (1.08 a/r) matches a gt47 size. But the outlet for that is 115.9mm or 4.5"... not 5". The turbine you describe is very close to gt47 but the compressor is gt4202...
Interesting... I dont think you will choke at all... should have plenty of exhaust flow.
