I need some fuel hose and fittings.....

Where should I get them? And what should I get?

I'm gathering the goods needed to get my Holley knock-off pump installed. I need a few feet of 3/8" fuel hose and fittings for the 3/8" NPT ports on the pump. Should I get push-loc fittings? Do those require specific hose? Will standard barb fittings suffice?

Thanks for the help!

I've had both good and bad luck with Push loks... Sometimes they leak. Just get some regular fuel line and barbed fittings and you'll be good to go. Or get some braided stainless if you're into overkill...
You should be able to get line from any good auto parts store. You can also order from Summit or Jegs.

Does diesel fuel require special hose? Or will any 3/8" fuel hose be okay?

I can't remember for sure but I think any line will work. I know the stuff I bought from Jegs was rated for all fuels and diesel was included in the list.

Yep, just pick up some 3/8" hose and clamps from Napa.

Im piecing my setup together too, and I bought some of the "efi" hose clamps, nothing special, just clamp better imo(I figured better safe than sorry, at least for the side after the pump)

If you want pushlocks and good hose go to vulcanperformance.com.. They have everything you could want, and decent prices to boot.

Prices are good until you add in shipping. My $10 order is $9 to ship.

yes you need to make sure the hose you buy is fuel hose...Napa carries lots of hose...fuel rated and non so make sure you get fuel rated hose....also EFI hose is just fuel hose with a higher PSI rating....napa carries push-locs too

I know I need fuel rated hose, but does diesel require a different hose than gasoline? That's my concern regarding the hose.

I do have the GDP kit. And no, I haven't called them yet. I'm trying to pin down what I want/need before I call anyone. I did find the remaining hose from my 2-mic kit, but I could use another couple feet just in case I screw something up.

I think I'll give Napa a shot. Looks like I only need about $5 in parts and hate to pay that and more in shipping.

Another shot for good push lok hose and push lok fittings... I use them on my fuel system as well as my onboard air system... I only drive the truck on the weekends now or to tow so the air system sits full all week.. I lose about .5 psi per day on the 125psi system... (and that .5psi I'm confident is due to one of the many brass NPT connections not the hose connections...)

Those who have problems with push loks normally are not using the right push lok hose... After trying many many other fittings and hose I will stick with push lok type from here on out!

Yeah, my push-loc setup from Glacier has been leak free for about 2-yrs now. I wouldn't hesitate to use it again.

Just make sure its diesel rated hose. A lot of hose sold at Auto parts stores is only rated for Gasoline.
