i keep cracking injectors what gives?
i keep cracking injectors what gives?
I just cracked my third injector in 3 monthes
I'm not sure why this keeps happening, my rail pressure at 50mph is 18-19k with no programs in the truck. I haven't ran any programs in the truck since the second time it happened. I always ran additve and i always change the fuel filters twice a year (I only put about 8,000-10,000 mile on it a year.) The first time one crarcked the ats twin pump control box got replaced. I don't know what to do i washed out the crankcase every time one cracked and now i'm sure the engine should get rebulit. does anyone have any ideas?

Well I would say it was due to the pedifile larry program stacked with the quad but you not running that anymore. May be that your injectors were fractured from the last time you ran your programming? I dont know what else it could be from your sig.
Thats kind of what I thought but i had to have the quad on it or it would throw codes. with the p larry i would run 19-20k at 50 mph was that to much pressure?
Are the injector nozzles stock? The reason I ask is the stock nozzles really help to keep the injectors internal pressures higher.
The Bosch bodies will crack with added pressure. We are replacing up a dozen a week now.
Modified nozzles with higher flow will lower the rate of cracked injector bodies.
