Get a 2-way paging alarm system and the firearm of your choice.

My Python system has never had a false alarm, but it has gone off twice when I was inside a store and someone in the parking lot hit it with their door.

Thanks for the reply guys. Any of ya'll use cobra alarms? That's what my local audio/glass guys are suggesting to me. I don't really need remote start, that'll make me too lazy.

Update: talked to the insurance, and the screen SHOULD be covered under comp ins. since it was bolted in and professionally installed. Since they don't make the Pioneer avic-n2 anymore, maybe I'll end up getting a n3 or n4. What really gets me is I paid $1950 for the n2 while the current n3 and n4s are running $1250. What gives?

I think I'd get in BIG trouble for having a firearm in an apartment complex.

What is that? I thought you Texans had the right to blow someone away for looking at your truck wrong?

Lol

So you really aren't allowed to have a firearm in your possession while in an apartment complex? What if you live in the complex and are transporting a gun or protecting your own life/property?

You're dern right, and proud of it...haha. My trucks got a gun in it pretty much 24/7, plus the model 500 s&w under my pillow and the shotgun next to my bed. My trucks not gettin broke into again without someone payn for it. I even asked the cops if it was ok to shoot someone if you caught em breakin into your truck at your house. They said if its night time yes you are allowd to, but not in the day.

That's what the apartments sign says. I keep a gun in my truck when I'm not in the city, don't want to take any chances. I keep my big maglite right next to me though. That'll knock someone out!!!

Yeah I sure wanted to get my girl a little .380, but had to settle for mace instead. I don't like it, but I don't need any more bad luck...

Words can't explain what I wanted to do if I caught them in the act, it would've been pretty aggressive.

Update!

Well everything was covered and I now have a brand new Pioneer AVIC-N4. Had a few kinks to work out with the system, but all is good now and everything works perfect. If anyone is looking for a good single din navigation/dvd/tuner screen, I recommend this one!

Thats really nice man, I'm sorry to hear that this even happened in the first place. I have been fortunate enough to not have my truck broken into yet (knock on desk). I'm glad everything worked out.
