I can finally hear my turbo!

I finally got my AFE 2 intake on today,& what a difference.Oil filter changes are going to be tricky thoe But It'll be worth it.Also,Has anybody ever run a mechanical fuel pressure gauge into the cab without useing an isolater?I also got my Carter P4601HP fuel pump installed,& am waiting for the banjo bolt to arrive from Glacier.Any reason NOT to go that rout,(leaking inside the cab?)Anyone getting around without an isolater?

You will have to get a needle valve from napa to act as an isolator or else the noise will drive you crazy!!

Noise? You mean the gauge will transmit fuel pump noise into the gauge?Hmmm...Hadn't thought of that.Maybe I'll just have to go electric.Thanks.

Thumbs up fuel pressure gauge

I run an Autometer mechanical fuel pressure gauge mounted on the cowl in between the wipers with an aluminum bracket that I made. There's no isolator - just a stainless steel braided hose tapped into the fuel filter housing cap.

The gauge is easy to see from the front seats or the vehicle next to me.
Most people don't even try...

Check out my pics!

I went electric for the same reasons. It was quick, easy and it looks great and no noise.

As far as the AFE 2 goes I guess I don't see any difference in changing the oil. I always do it from the bottom though. It is much easier and the AFE 2 didn't change that. I just use a long 3/8 's extension with a filter wrench that I got from Geno's. It works great plus I have a Fumoto valve on the oil pan. Changing oil is easy and there are no more messes.

Tha oil change part was because I used to remove the inlet to the turbo,& change the filter from the top.I guess I'll be doing it from the bottom from now on.Thanks.I ordered the electric guage today.Should be here tomorow.I did some research last night,& figured that the Mech.gauge with the isolater, etc.was actually more expensive than the electric set up.Who Knew!
