Anyone read anything about the Hypertech Max energy? They say it gives 174 hp in a tow mode,at least from what I can gather on their web site. Not alot of info either on their own site about it. Sure would like to know more.

 

I spoke to them a few months back and they didn't have anything available for the 06's yet, has that changed?

 

They do show a part number for it, and while I was searching on the web I seen somebody had them for sale for $379 and change. Just need more info!!

 

The part number isn't recognized, also on the Ford max HP is 114 and on the Chevy it's 91 according to the dyno's...Think I'll keep my Quadzilla. In their product search by vehicle the only 06 is the Hemi. I tried using the 52006 and 52007 part numbers from the left side of the screen for the Cummins and nothing came up? Where did you see the 174hp? Do you mean 174 Torque? My Quad is 100hp and 200 Torque.

Tow setting (L2) is 60hp and 140 Torque IIRC?

66 horsepower and 174 ft./lbs. in Dodge 5.9L Cummins diesels.

I believe this for the older Dodge's too.

 

In the bottom where it ask you for what vehecle, there is a flyer, and it shows some reference to someone with a 2003 CTD and the 174hp and 3 miles more per gallon.

Okay...That is a tuning module "Power Programmer" for 2003 and 2004, it is not the max energy.

It is as follows.

L1 = +98HP and +160Ft-lbs
L2 = +122HP and +200Ft-lbs
L3 = +174HP and +285Ft-lbs

L1 = Tow mode, and even then it's a bit extreme.

 

I was at your site and you have (Predator) spelled (Preditor) and you have (PPE Hot Xcelerator) spelled (PPE Hot Hcelerator).

 

I talked to Hypertech today. The Max Energy programmer for the 06 should be out end of this month. However, they said that at the end of last month? The numbers should be good. They take their time before they release a programer and you can tow safely (weight restrictions) in each power level. Should be interesting when it debutes. I have been holding out on the buying the Predator to see what Hypertech brings to the table. Not sure if I can wait much longer!!!!!!!!

 

It would be nice if it didn't leave a signature Like the Smarty. Then I could throw my flashpaq away.
