the real question i guess, is there really a hypertech tuner for ctd's that actually gives you 174 rwhp. i am skeptical as hypertech products for 2nd gens topped out at about 70 hp and anyone who owns a flashpaq knows that superchips falsely advertised 150 hp extreme settings for the c/r ctd's.

 

One of the guys here that deals many different brands told me that the only programmer he had seen out run the hypertech so far was the crazy larry program.I had also heard that all the settings were supposed to be "tow safe",so I figure SOMEONE isn't telling the truth.He wanted me to load the hypertech last time at the drags,but my flashpaq was kicking plenty of butts that night so I didn't mess with it.Try it out,then let us all know what you find.

 

Then that guy hasn't tried a Smarty yet!

 

does this make sense to anyone- i was told that the 174 hp level is safe to tow on because it will auto de-fuel before egt's get out of hand. but it is a d/l that has no attachment to a pyro (maybe one is not being used at all) so how would it be able to even know what egt's are? is it possible for a d/l to read egt's and de-fuel on its own without even being plugged in? if it's possible it would be the first i've heard of it.

 

I had a Hypertech programmer in my 01 gasser, it probably gave me a whole 10hp more... ooooohhhhh aaahhhhh,
