had my truck for 3 months now, came with 245`s and steel wheels.never had a compliment, just the people that know me asking what happened to my 02.well,,i got my h2 wheels for 150 bucks, modified my centers, got me some 35x12.50 mastercraft courser c/t`s,,,,,,,,,and what do you know, had them on for one day,,already had several compliments, and some of my old friends telling me how they love my new truck,,,,i just told them,,i told you, give me time, youll see.............my take on them,,with 3.73 gears, they make the truck more enjoyable to drive, lets it pull out in the gears better, didnt hurt power at all that i can tell unloaded.but, they are tight on the front, ive twisted it over some stuff and they havent rubbed yet, but,,they only have probably less than an inch clearance front and rear on the front.off road,i can see where you could have problems, but ,for most of us,no problem..i know this has been gone over several times ,but if you want to know more, just ask.............bama
the guy i got mine from used a holesaw,my tire store used a jig they have and balanced by the lugs, not the center bore....i called down at the local machine shop and they said they would do them for 50 bucks.no photos yet,but ill get some soon.................bama
Take a look at my gallery for pictures of H2 wheels on a 3rd gen, also with modified stock center caps. I used my mill and a flycutter to open the hubs, IMHO much better than a holesaw. No down the road problems with balancing, any tire shop can balance them without adapters. Had mine on for 16,500 miles (from day one with the truck) with no tire/wheel issues.
one question fellas,,going from 245 to 35 inchers,,how much is the speedo off?it sure seems like alot ..........and if i was to get it recalibrated at the dealer, whats the revs per mile on a 35 inch tire?

I got my odo/speedo recalibrated at the dealer the other day, no charge for my Cooper Discoverer ATR 315/70R/17s. They were 601 revs/mile. Each tire brand is alittle different so depending on what brand you buy, you need to check revs/mile and give that info to the dealer.
Do a search under my username in the 3rd engine/drivetrain section.
I laid out the details for speedo calibration and 315's. I would go with 601 revs, as I went 604, and my speedo is fast 2 or 3 mph, and set the ring tone in the middle to highest setting.
315's are a great upgrade, setting the speedo makes a huge difference for the better.
