Even with Map at $675, it is still $200 for polishing. There is no break on that. This by far beat the $1000 price I see on the one locked into the top of this forum.

I have the last one they currently have on the way to my shop. The report is they work really well. As for EGT's, you will show higher temps with this manifold, around 100 deg., but not because the egt's are actually higher, only that the heat doesn't escape from the SS as much as cast iron, therefore your egt gauge will show higher temps. Remeber, the heat is being created in the cylinder, that will not be higher than it otherwise would, but the reading from the manifold will due to less loss. The benefit, is that this retained heat energy will help drive the turbo more efficiently.

The $675 map price seems reasonable to me. You can't compare the $200 polishing as no other manifold even offers that and it isn't required.

Will be a while before we have solid data as the manifold is going on a motor that is being rebuilt and is sitting on a stand in the shop.

Anyone have one of these yet? I'm pulling the turbo in the next week and I thinking about doing the manifold at the same time.

Wonder if it's CARB approved?

I have the one from afe, it stays hot 4 hrs after my truck has been shutdown. My is the ss but it's purplely blue now not very shiny any more. $450 pretty payable for me I guess. for $950 it better come with the turbo too.

I had inquired about that AFE manifold, but was told the HTT part was a nicer piece. I'm not getting a polished manifold, so the price difference was only $150 between the two.

I hope to get better spool from the re-designed wastgate pucks in the turbo as well.

Not to flame, but around here, $200 for a quality polish job is not bad. I work with a couple of polishers, that I don't think would touch it for that. It also depends on how rough it is to start with.

i guess i need to add i have had the 62 65 13 htt ss turbo and ss manifold rough with blankets installed for 23,000 miles and as stated the egt reads about 100* hotter so it does keep the gas expanded as claimed

I just had one installed on my 6.7 with a 66/73/13 turbo from HTT. Only been on about 3 days so it is not completely blue yet. I didn't pony up for the polishing.

I want the best spool possible, so I was thinking of doing the blankets as well. It's only money......

If you want good spool get a Garrett BB turbo. The extra money spent on the blankets would get you into a Garrett.

If I hadn't already spent the money on this turbo, I might have gone that way.

I was just talking to the guys at Jefferson State about this very option.

Overall I'm happy with what I have, but if I could reduce smoke on takeoff, I would like to.
