I keep my receipts hidden in my tool box, I was adding things up from over the years. Man, I have over 100k in this truck since I joined this site. Like most started out with a mind frame of I just need a little extra power, wow !

From: In Oroville, Ca., same house for past 46 yrs!
Do I count the 2 sets of tires I've bought or just the last set that's on the ground? Do I count the original price of the truck as well? If not...
Including the tuner I bought and the chrome goodies maybe about $3K is all. I rebuilt the trans myself so only parts, did 2 brake jobs, bought new wheels and built my stainless stacks myself as well as the other stainless accessories. My exhaust brake is my own build so only parts for those "extras".
I guess I'm pretty cheap huh?

I'm on the extreme side of what not to do. I have basiclly done everything twice or more. I guess there are worse things I can waste money on.

Oh crap.....someone would post this and make me think about it. Hmmmm, let's see:

u-joints (many, many sets)
injectors (Flux 2's)
CP3
tires (many sets of 6)
6-speed tranny rebuild
upgraded steering setup
programmer
etc
etc
etc
etc

Not counting the $35K I paid for the truck.....I've spent in the ballpark of $14K!!!! Why oh why did someone post this??

$14,193.43 total running cost on top of purchase price. Looking at other posts, looks like $14k is a nice round number eh? lol

But don't ask me to add up cost of other hobby/toys. I added up the cost of one item I spent on the past month and I almost choked

Exactly, I special order the mega cab with a lift, changed the lift, painted the truck X2, 3 sets of rims, started with single turbo ended up with twins. Trust me I can keep going. Then there's the XP 900 tricked out, ktm 505 complete suspension, R1 carbon fiber, I could keep going but I think the point is clear I like speed.

I know on the 2006 I owned.... purchased for $40g.... spent another 20g at least in upgrages.... that included a new engine when the first one exploded itself.
So about 60g..... sold it for 30g. lol

Just the extras:
Muffler:$250.00
Injectors: $2000.00 (installed, ish, I got a sweet deal)
Tuning: $700.00
Trans. Pan: $280
S&B Intake: $300.00
Total: $3530.00
These are the "fun" upgrades I can think of off the top of my noggin, it's cost me a lot more over the last 4 years.
