How much boost should I have???

I have the HTB2 62/12 turbo and Quadzilla Std 100hp box. I can't seem to get more than 35psi out of this combo. I saw 45psi with the TST/MP8. Does my psi seem right to you guys? Seems to me that it should be higher. On either of the lower settings it stops at 31 psi. On the 100hp setting it gets to 35psi. I also got over 40psi out of it when it was on the 03.

What say the experts????

I only have 4500 miles on the truck and I have changed the filter already although it was a filter from the local auto parts store. A Purolator, I think, and I was in a crunch on a Sunday afternoon so I had to buy it.. I need to order some more filters from Genos.

The truck seems to run great otherwise and definitely makes more power on the bottom end with this turbo...

I've got a homemade boost fooler too. The turbo sounds different on this truck than it did on the 03. It definitely has a different pitch to it when it's spooling up hard. Hmmm, I may pull it off and see how the stock one compares.......
I'm gonna order some correct fuel filters too and see if that helps any.......
The Airaid has not pulled the filter minder down any so I have ruled that out. The truck doesn't seem to pull as hard on the top end either. It pulls hard on the bottom but the last couple days I have been testing it and it seems to be running out of air at the top....
Fuel pressure is holding steady but it is measuring before the filter....

Sorry for the rambling post. Just trying to throw anything out there that may help...

You should see 38 PSI to 40 PSI. It does boost fooling even in the off position. Have you checked all of your clamps to ensure they are tight? Might have a loose one.

the 62/12 and 14 have a diaphragm operated wastegate, and your turbo should have a boost elbow installed on it. (mine does). 5/16 allen key, and turn it in. on mine, 1/2 turn is 4 psi. it may just be set conservatively from high tech.

Sounds like you are on to the problem. The stock turbo has an electronically controled waste gate.

I thought about that "Number 2" but since it was working properly before, I ruled it out as a possibility. I guess I could try to adjust it.....

Nice numbers too Number 2.......

just a thought #1. i got my turbo from II and they just set it wherever they wanted to. the first run with it was 45 psi. i suppose i was lucky. just takes 2 minutes to try. clockwise to increase, counter to decrease. they told me you can get about 7psi each way with the elbow.
good luck buddy and thanks on the numbers. your turn now.

Maybe the screw is loose and it's working it's way out. I'll definitely give it a try.
I'm not trying for the high numbers this time. I just want a good powerful tow beast and this truck is definitely it. It's not the same BOMBing the manual trans truck either. PLUS, I just don't feel like putting a clutch and fuel pump in a brand new truck.....
I'll post back once I check the wastegate adjustment....

I am getting 55 psi out of my II6280. So I would think that you should be getting 40ish out of a 6270
