I am leaning in the direction that maybe they are too loud for me. Great when playing around but sucks for driving to work and back everyday. They look cool though.

There too loud for me and im in my 20's.

Everyone always says how loud my truck is and I always say really? Well I guess so, I dont really notice it since my tailpipe is a good 15 feet behind me pointed at the ground.

I couldnt imagine having my tail pipe sitting a foot behind my head w/ a thin pice of glass between us.

No thanks

Stacks remind me of driving a Duece 1/2. No thanks. On long trips they will make you def as a door nail.

If you go 7" and get them about 5' above the cab they won't be too loud a all. Add a resonator or muffler and you're all good.

Acid wash the 5er and you'll be able to get the soot off, then put some wax on it right after.

Well any size pipe 5' above the cab won't be to loud at all as it would level with the cab.

I'd say the stack is louder, but in some cases straight out the back may sound louder because of the level you hear it at. In cab the stack is definitely louder.

I didn't think mine was too loud with normal driving that is. When towing they do get pretty loud, I ended up putting a straight through muffler on which seemed to help a lot. It could still get loud, but it was easier to control.

Would I do it again, yes. I would stil have them on there now, but I got an unbelievable deal on a camper shell so obviously the stacks had to go. The shell helps with my work to much, so it was a somewhat easy choice.

Try them, it's always nice o try everything once. If it turns out they are loud, install a muffler. If you don't like the looks, then you will end up with a hole in your bed. However that can be taken care of if you tack a new piece of sheetmetal in then have your bed line-x'ed. A person would never nitice from the top side.

If I could find a 4 inch cable cutout, so I could run a muffler when I wanted to I would have some black 7 inchers. Just too loud when on the road for a long period of time!

Yeah, the higher you get them above the cab the quieter they'll be.

Looks mo' better too.

I agree also, my straight cut stack in the videos is about level with the center (highest point) of the roof!!!!
