How long will my stock tranny hold

If I install a TC, VB and a billet input shaft how long will the rest of the stock parts in the tranny last at say 500hp. It is an 04.5 2wd QC 48re this is my first Auto CTD all my others have been manuals so this auto thing is new to me. I do plan on drag racing and it will be my daily driver. Thanks

You should be good to go for many many miles, assuming your tranny is in good condition now and you haven't already toasted anything....

stay away from boosted launches, you can still snap your output shaft

from what I saw with my truck the stock converter would slip under a load on crazy larry when I ran the triple dog. you can add clutches to each clutch pack and put some nice parts in it for about 3k. I would say it all depends on how hard you try to push it. you will find out fast if you ever price a built automatic they arent cheap. that should be a fun truck for you jesse im glad to hear you got something else

when you get mods on that truck I bet it will be a blast. mine being heavier and 4wd it will still break the tires loose on dry pavement at 40mph. a 2wd with mods would for sure be a good sleeper to pick on cars with
