how do you fix the overhead console MPG?
Mine used to be off by 1 or 2 miles per gallon. After putting a new program on it, it got up to 28mpg and I was averaging 19. I just hand calc now since its seems to be all over the place now.

I'm pretty bummed when mine reads anything less than 22mpg. Lucky for me, mine's been accurate to within 1/2 MPG since I got it.
My read out just started working when I started hypermiling. it says I'm getting 16.1 mpg.s average towing a 5000# trailer about half on interstate half around town. wich is way better than I was getting when drove it like I stole it. and before I would calc. it by hand and was getting about 11mpg.s and my read out said 12.5 but now I hand calc about the same as the computer. go figure. but the best thing is now when I get to where I'm going, I'm much calmer and all those people that passed me are still getting poor milage. and I just smile.

Gently remove it being carful not to mess up the factory plugs and connections. Get a soft rag and wrap it up. Place it on the ground and smash the snot out of it with a sledge. Works on every 3rd gen overhead

Yes, very important not to damage it by removing it before you smash the crap out of it!
Mine's never told the truth, especially when I run Crazy Larry which always displays about 5 MPG more than actual...
