I have the 2004.5 with the 325hp 600 motor. When i crimp my wastegate line i get higher boost psi. is our wastegate normally spring closed and air opened?if i block the line why does the wastegate still open? does it just relieve pressure after a given amount of spring tension?

yes it is air opened. if drive pressure gets too high some of them will blow open
