Just taking all the emblems off. Best to let a body shop do it.

and then you need to get the rest of the sticky as all get out, adhesive off the body. I just took my "c" off to make room for flares, and let me tell you, mineral spirits are not the best thing to use, took me 45 minutes to take off the two small emblems. 3m adhesive remover would be the ticket I bet.

A friend of mine that does body work took my cummins emblems off when I put flares on. He used a heat gun. Warmed them up a little and just peeled them off with his fingers. It looked to easy.

Body Shop I go to uses a bha putty knife. Then an air dremel w/ an eraser like attachment to get the rest of the adhesive. Finish off w/ fine line to get the fine scratches.

Heat gun and 3M adhesive remover and a plastic paddle... First soak the emblems for a bit, 4-5 minutes, then take your time and heat the emblems, maybe 30-45 seconds, they will be a little to hot to the touch, so take the plastic paddle and pry them up. You will get most of the backing if you get the heat right. Then spray and scrape the remainder of the rubber backing off the truck. I watched my decal man take mine off, took off all 32 letters in about 15 minutes. Cost me $20.....(but worth it!)

I just did mine last week what a drag but it's worth it.

A hot day or the heat gun or blow dryer. I was afraid of using a heat gun for fear I'd get it too hot and screw up the paint. Maybe it won't but ..... I was too lazy to get the hair dryer.

I didn't have the time to dedicate to doing it all at once so I did the tailgate first.

I used the fishing string to pull all the emblems off then coated them with WD 40 I let them sit for a bit then hosed them again and waited. Then I got a piece of plastic and started scraping them off.

when i took the c off my truck for the fender flares i started on one side warming it up with a hair dryer since i did not have access to a heat gun..dunno if that was really worth it or not...i ended up just carefully using a putty knife to get it started and then just pulling it off...it left a lot of the black adhesive behind but if you just rub back and forth over whats left with your fingers it will rub right off...you have to push kinda hard though..then to get the sticky residue off i just went to walmart and picked up a cheap bottle of tar and bug remover..sprayed that on and let it sit and now you cant tell they were ever there..that was the same way i debadged my camaro...probably a better way but i havent had any problems yet

You can get a 3m eraser wheel at a auto paint store. Use the fishing line or weedeater line, then you have emblem off with a lot of adhesive remaining. Put the eraser wheel in your battery powered drill/screwdriver and let r' rip. It leaves some smudgy adhesive so use the goo gone or adhesive remover now and then wax. No scratches and fast! When you start with the eraser wheel it seems not much is happening but the adhesive gets hot and starts to come off fast.

Fishing line works awesome and doesn't scratch the paint any. Then use some 3M adhesive remover to get the rest of the adhesive off.

I just pulled all mine off, first I used fishing line to get the decals off, then I used a 3M eraser wheel (best thing ever invented for this job) to get the tape off, then just use some wd40 or adhesive remover to get the clear adhesive off. All in all took me about an hour to an hour and a half with the eraser wheel.
