YOU are the common denominator in all your problems.

Everyone keeps trying to tell you that it isn't wise to talk a big game when you don't back it up. The way you present yourself on here is not helping your cause, or your company.

I have never spoken to you in person. The ONLY things I know about you are from the posts you make on the various forums. You are not doing yourself any favors, and you're certainly not doing your parts suppliers any favors. My natural reaction to any products you endorse is to want to avoid them...

I'm honestly not trying to be rude or harsh. I am just trying to tell you how you "come across" to neutral people who read on these forums. Take a deep breath, tone it down a notch, and let your performance do the talking. That is what people will respect and recognize.

This is just my opinion.

Chris
chris, have we not let performance do the talking this year?

You are missing the point...

If you perform decent, you DON'T NEED TO TALK yourself up, or other's down.

You spam all kinds of message boards saying how you are going to do this, and going to do that, and would have done this but didn't have this done yet and blah, blah, blah.

Take for example Greyrig05. He didn't come on here and talk a bunch of trash. He just posted up an 11.41 video and timeslip. He get's my respect for that. Even after he ran 11.41, he didn't toot his own horn so to speak. Take a page out of his book and you will find yourself in a better situation.

Again, this stuff is just my opinion. I was trying to tell you how i see it, and it seems many others feel the same way and have tried to tell you the same thing. I'm not trying to bash you. Just trying to tell you that you are driving away the majority of your potential customers with your "way" of doing things.

NGM, I'm trying not to bash you either. But , The smarty is for all of us , I think if you sit down take a deep breath you will see in your request has been answered .Just because everybody didn't drop everything to write a special program the second you wanted it doesn't mean you weren't being heard. Ithink you will see when this hot program is unleashed on the masses you will be suprised, I was last nite ,and all I saw were tail lites and smoke, and that was turned down. Keep your britches on and wait like the rest of us. The people working on this stuff are making sure it's what it supposed to be. If that's good or soon enough ,you could always write your programs.Wait ,that would mean you actually have to back your words

After reading this it made me think, there is a reason that marco doesnt get on here much and post he has a man that handles all of his information (going out and coming in) bc he is way to busy trying to crack codes and basicly doing reverse engineering to try and get the best combinations of a ton of parameters for all the trucks to run the best they can. he wants everyone that has a smarty to be able to use their truck to whatever potential that the customer wants. Now how long has marco been working on getting 1 fairly simple factor such as RPM's up, i know i have been reading that everyone wants it for a while now. if he is still working on it then how and when would he have time to sit down and write a custom program for someone he has never met, doesnt know, floods his pm box with request after request, he doesnt. i am sure a ton of people have been ingnored so what makes you any different. i know you want to be the first to have a hot tune, you have claimed to do a lot of this first but sit back, crack a beer eat some cheetos and listen to some good ol Rodney Carrington and be patient. Once this tune comes out i am sure you will be a couple HP closer to the claims you made back in 2006.

So ngm if you are sooooo pi$&&@ off at Bob or Marco why is it that every time that I look on this website you are constantly bashing them? Give the guys a break! I own a small corp. and do my absolute very best to satisfy ALL of my customers every single question but it seems that the customers like yourself (regardless how good or bad they feel the service is) just can't let go of something that may have happened in the past. And personally, I live by the motto " I woulndn't cast many stones in a glass house" you may end up being left outside. Wellp, guess I'm done now so, please consider this just as friendly advice and not at all a belittlment. And thank you for all of your support and information in the near future. And I truly hope this did NOT cause any rifts in any relationships as I would not want that. Thanks again.

I would like to comment that I do NOT own a smarty, however I have emailed Bob back and forth with a reply(s) usually in a couple of hours. Twice today (Satday) in fact I emailed him and twice today he got back to me.

Not pickin sides or anything I just thought I would give credit where it is due.

Robert at NGM has been a HUGE help to me over the past few months so I gotta give him props too.

Hey Chris, did not get it dynoed yesterday. Plan on results tommorrow evening, I got dyno time at 6pm. I did not get my 5s installed till 5pm yesterday and I missed my window on the dyno. Had to finish a couple customers trucks before mine. I can tell you with the new smarty and the 5s I need a bigger boost gauge, I wish my a5000 was wastegated. Tim
