HOT juice upgrade...those that have it, what do you think??? 05 Cummins

Hey guys.

I would like to take my edge j/a off and send it in for a reflash to hot j/a. To those of you that have had this reflash done, how do you like the new level 5? How much power will it add to my '05, 160 or 180hp on level 5 w/hot update?

So far my power mods are AFE Stage II, Dynomax muffler, ROKK sensor, Edge J/A. When I send the J/A for reflash, I plan on a LP upgrade, a fuel pressure gauge and TC/VB mods. I would like to stack the HOT J/A with the MP8 eventually. I think I will need turbo/intercooler upgrades at that time.

So, you that have the hot juice reflash, what do you think/what supporting mods do you have? Thanks guys.

Cool, what is the turnaround time? I am thinking of taking mine off asap and sending it in.

Also, where do you find your TDR member # to fill into the hot juice upgrade form?

Thanks.

Do they even have the upgrade for the 305/555? I went to the web site and they didn't list it. Only had the '04-current listed. If that's the case, I'll be ******. The 600 guys get all the fancy power upgrades. I couldn't get Crazy Larry for my BDPP, now this.

I have the hot juice for the '03. It only took a few days, but it depends where you are at. Edge Products are in Utah, so that might give you an idea. The power is intense on 5, and it smokes much more. It really is too much for the stock tranny, and the turbo will surge on occasion on lvl 5. I think a big turbo and fuel system would be perfect. I know I dont have an 05, but this should give you an idea.

Another question, does anybody know of another chip you can stack on an 03 with the hot juice? power pup maybe?

I had the upgrade done for my 04, it is much more powerful and smoky on 5/5, in fact I don't play there much waiting to do a turbo and cluch upgrade first. You can use the 600 form from their website and cross out the 600 and write in 555, per their customer support. It took 2-3 days for their turnaround, then you have your shipping time to and from Utah. Your TDR member number is on the mailing label on the magazine.

I don't think you can.
On the 03-04, they also added preasure. So now you have duration, timing, and preasure.

alright I just took my truck out for the first time with the HOT juice on it and holy cow. Major difference. level 4 was pretty impressive but level 5 was unreal. I can spin all fours down the road, of course the road was wet but hey it was fun. I wont be doing that again any time soon but I was informed by the guy that installed it that he has connections with the service managers at a local dealership for any and all waranty work to be covered. I also didnt have to sign the waver for the hot upgrade. He took a little money off of the price cause of the online pricing and came to my house to do the install which he showed me every step of just in case I need to take it off while out on the road somewhere. Anyhow, thanks for all the advice on the boxes. I dont know what a regular juice feels like but hte hot juice is freakin great.

So what is the advertised power on level 5 on the hot juice for your '05? 160 or 180hp?

From what I understand, level 4 on HJ is the same as level 5 on J...level 5 is pretty powerfull.

Level 5.....

I have the hot juice on my 04, and it's definitely too much for the stock trans/turbo. Unfortunately if you want more power and want to run the 03-04 hot juice, you probably will have to resort to adding injectors or other mechanical means; I haven't heard of anyone stacking anything with it.
