That my friend is by far the most detailed write up that I have ever read. I put the glacier system on and had no problems with it as I am kinda mechly inclined but with that write I think a 1st grader could do it. Like I said before, "the best I have ever seen". Thank you.

I like your write up on this, one question that I had about the check valve. Do you think that the 1/4" check valve will restrict the flow back to the tank too much? Do you think that the 1/2" would be better on your system?

The fuel doesnt actually flow thru it, so its not really a restriction, it bleeds off excess pressure, so it doesnt need to be the same size as the feed side going to the filter/cp3, its kind of like a purge/blow off to vent the extra pressure.(Vs a dead end style that is regulated inline)

That's the best write-up I have ever seen on any diesel forum! I do have to admit- even though I understand what I'm looking at and I helped put my FP gauge in, I don't think I could pull something like that off. Very clean. If I lived close to you, I'd pay good money to have you do that to my truck too!

Looks good didn't go through all of it, but great pics... Push lock fittings would have made the install a bit cleaner looking, but I'm OCD about that stuff

8mpg, I just saw this write-up, good job! Very detailed.
I did my own Walbro & filter setup in early 2006 before the kits came out, and I had a couple of thoughts about your install to share.
About the location of the filters, I didn't want mine hanging down and exposed to possible damage from road debris, so I fabbed up a custom steel mounting bracket/guard to protect my Walbro and PermaCool filter.
Also, when researching my Autometer electric gauge I found posts that said not to install the electric sender on the engine as it could be damaged by vibrations and pulses from the CP3. I used a tapped banjo bolt from the bottom of the fuel filter canister, added an Omega snubber (to protect from pulses), ran an 18" fuel pressure hose (to protect from vibrations), then installed the sender in a street-L tee mounted in a custom bracket attached to the brake master cylinder. This tee allows me to bleed air out of the line. The sender has held up fine for the past 20 months using this arrangement.
Just my 2-cents. Again, GREAT JOB!
