I'll trade you The next thing I get for my truck is going to be a smarty. I have a workhorse on the way, wish I had it for the dyno. Then I'm thinking fuel and and a turbo ( nothing to big ) I think I have the BOMB bug real bad ( or should I say real good)

This is why I have no desire to dyno my truck, unless I'm tuning a mod. On their own dyno numbers don't mean much. When used as a tuning aid they are invaluable.

ya because all of them are never the same. the first time I dynoed my truck it put 865 on the tq. the 2nd time it put down 1140tq. with only a 29hp difference. so I was very confused

I can only speak from my own personal experience.

I dyno'd on a Mustang dyno one time, and I got false (high) readings.

I had dyno'd previously (stock) on a dynojet and got 280/522. Dyno'd on the Mustang and it said IIRC like 330/???. Went back after the Mustang runs....back to the dynojet and was within 3 hp of my previous original number.

Later, I added a Smarty on level 5. Dynojet...dyno'd 400ish.

Later again......on a dynojet, I dyno'd Smarty on level 9 and got 466/922.
2 months later on a different dynojet I was at 467/915.

My experience is that Dynojet Dyno's are very consistent with themselves and against other dynojets. I don't trust Mustangs based on my experience with one (or the word of several buddies who got bad readings)........and I don't know anything about Superflows.

If you feel confident in your numbers (and I do)...then keep going back to the same dyno or same type dyno if possible for consistency.

Is it because it was done in 4th gear and not direct (5th)?
