HIDs and Howards Turbo Timer
HIDs and Howards Turbo Timer
Anyone running both?
Just installed some HIDs yesterday and I noticed that now when the truck sits for a few hours, as soon as you unlock the doors it activates the timer like you pressed the button, and essentially turns the truck on. Grid heaters come on, dash lights, everything short of starting the truck. Somehow the HIDs are backfeeding the timer...
Anyone else have the same problem?
Im trying to decide if I should find another way to wire the timer, OR try to power the HIDs off a relay.
TIA

I guess ill just have to power the HIDs off a relay and use a keyed hot. So no headlights with the key off, not that its a bad thing...
Just walked back out to my truck and it doesnt do it after 3 hours sitting...
It might do it only when you use the timer to shut the truck off, then when you unlock the doors later it kicks back on?
I dont want to pull the timer, I love that thing!
