HID upgrade question

I'm not the type of person who wants to draw unwanted negative attention to myself so...is there a correct way of upgrading the OEM headlight assembly with an aftermarket HID kit with the proper reflectors to not washout the light and blind drivers? I've changed out the headlight and driving lights with Silverstars and that was a very good improvement vs OEM POS bulbs.

There's not much you can do when upgrading to HID. I recommend staying in the 4300-5000 kelvin range for maximum light output instead of the 'look at me' blue and purple colors. Also get a kit that works with computer controlled lighting so the Front Control Module doesn't shut the lights off due to not detecting the proper load. And go with a Bi-Xenon kit, so you can have both low and high beams.

ASM makes a good set. I had to get capacitor/resistor blocks to trick the TIPM to stop the low beam flashing/lamp out light

I love my 5k kit from hidsolutions, good bang for the buck, install was easy and havent had any issues.
Havent had anyone flash me either, it seems like the '06+ headlights reflect/direct the light better than the '03-05 trucks(comparing my '07 to my old '05)

I called these guys http://www.hidspeed.com/

after spending a ton of time researching and crap, i called these guys out of the blue. Told them my problem, I emailed pictures of the connectors I had (many different HID makers use different connectors) and they had my fix custom made for me and at my door in 3 days. No issues at all, love em. and I am at 8000k bi-zenon heads and 8000k fogs

I have the 6K from HIDspeed and love them. I upgraded the ballast to the mimi's and that took care of the radio static when the lights are on.

You will need the harness with the resistors installed.

Great kits.
