HID conversion

Has anyone converted NOT headlights but auxiliary lights to HID?
I mean light such as PIAA, Hella or alike and if so what models and with what results? I would like to replace that factory fogs with PIAA 540s and then convert them to HID. Any toughts?

That is exactly what I will be doing when I get my Road Armor bumpers on since the hold 4 PIAA 520's or 540's (can't remember which). You pose a very good question. If I can find out any info, in advance, I will post it for you ASAP! Please do the same if you find out from a source outside this forum!

ive done hid custom installs on tons of cars and bikes.
not plug and play,custom install diy w/factory bmw acura ....
as long as you got the depth youll be ok
the things you need to remember are pretty simple measurements
keep the hid bulb straight and centered when you mount it and make sure the distance from your orig filiment is equal to the round ball filiment? on the hids itll be all good.

And make sure you do NOT touch the bulb with your hand or fingers AT ALL. The oil will cause the bulb to explode upon turning them on!!!
