Help with Xenongate HID install...puhleeze?
So I received my Bi-xenon kit (9007 for headlights and 9006 for fogs) and started the install this evening. Everything looked to be plug and play, or so I thought. I didn't think it could be messed up...I was mistaken
The fogs work great, crystal clear and only a faint hum from the ballast. When I go to turn on the headlights, both left and right lights seem to power up for a second and emit a bright flash of light then they go dark, then it lights up again for a second, then dark. I've gone over all the connections and they all appear to be a snug fit. Anyone else had this problem on their '05?
I did take a look at these HID FAQ's, and it seems like maybe I'm missing some resistors. Did anyone get resistors in their boxes?

Yep. On a good note, I don't have a "lamp out" display on my dash. It seems like it wants to power up but doesn't have enough juice to stay on. Or something is triggering it to turn off. I guess that's what those resistors are for. You can hear/feel the relay clicking when the lights are turning on/off. Weird...c'mon Xenongate, get back to me!
That's the reason I hav'nt done hids yet. Everyone has problems with them. From what I've read/seen the resistors are not included with the so-called plug and play kits. They are sold seperately. I don't know how they can call it plug and play when most, if not all 03 and up ram owners have to get an additional relay harness and add resistors. Seems to me all that should be included with the bulbs, ballasts, etc. Hope you get them working. Please post up what it takes to get them working correctly.

Call HIDspeed.com and get their "special" harness, I think its like $60(with the coupon codes on the first page) but its plug in play, no splicing into the factory wiring to wire up the reisitors.
Just plug them in between the HID harness and stock harness.

Do you have this special harness? I wonder if it will work in a 07?

Instead of resistor boxes put in capacitors. It gets rid of the lamp out light and has enough juice to spart the ignitors and keep them burning. I will look tommrow to see exactally which ones I put inline if you are interested.
