Today I had an AeroTurbine installed on my '03. My problem is that I bought the AeroTurbine 4040 (4"). My downpipe as many of you know is 3.5".. The shop mounted my muffler up to the 3.5" downpipe to the 4" inlet of the AeroTurbine, and out the 4" outlet to the 3.5" straight pipe.... Then they removed my original muffler. They replaced that empty area w/ 4" straight pipe, which ends up being 4" all the way to the tail. Originally I should have gotten the AeroTurbine 3535. That was my error. My question after all this is; will this setup have a negative effect on performance? I really don't want to throw a bunch of money at this one. Do you think it would improve anything to go 4" pipe from the outlet of the AeroTurbine all the way back??

Anyhow, thank you. Man I was in such a rush to have this done I didn't take a second look at the proper muffler fitting...

 

no, the new muffler wont hurt anything. the most restrictive things in the factory exhaust are the cat and the muffler, so you helped the breathing out

You know the most restrictive part on the whole exhaust system is the TURBO. Ya that's right boys the exhaust side of the stock turbo is the major choke point. Increase the exhaust side housing and watch the temps come down. Oh so many things to buy
