HELP!!!! Turbo Install Problems........
I mounted the Super B Single on an ATS Manifold and tried to mount it up.....
The wastegate head is actually sitting on the motor mount and the inlet area for the adapter pipe will not fit. The inlet for the turbo is very close to the shock tower area and there is no way I can get the angled adapter installed.
Can the bolts be removed for the front portion of the turbo and rotated/turned, to help clear the wastegate head and to allow more room for the intercooler angled adapter?

It is an 03-04 Super B..........with a 3RD Gen ATS Pulse Flow
I loosened the bolts and rotated the housing...it still would not line up. I had to loosen the pipe that runs to the intercooler and then rotate this pipe upward, and was able to get both parts to match up
I now have to run to the auto store, because the oil drain line for the turbo is (now), not long enough....need maybe 1-2" more

Early 2004, 305/555......
The stock HE341 is:
54/58/9
The Super B Single is:
57/65/14
Not a huge upgrade, just enough: +3/7/5
Ok well I was able to rotate the inlet, to a better position.
I also loosened up the 4 bolts for the center portion of the turbo and was able to rotate it about 1", so the drain tube lines up alot better, and I was able to reuse the stock rubber connector.
I still have a HUGE PROBLEM: With the BD spacer, that connects the elbow to the exhaust side of the turbo is causing HUGE problems with clearance.
I had to unbolt the trans dipstick support line and grind off a large section of the support bracket,...................all while making a huge mess and loosing ATF, because I had to completely remove the dipstick tube.
The elbow is still not clearing the lower portion of the firewall and it hitting right in the center of the trans tube, even after grinding off a large portion of the support tube.
I need this truck running ASAP, any suggestions what else to do or try??????????????????????????????????????????????? ?????
The only thing I can come with is to again remove the trans dipstick tube and bend it alot closer to the trans housing and then fabricate a new support bracket for the tube.
This is getting to be a huge P.I.T.A..............
