Help with new XZT pls.

Just got the new/used XZT with race box harness and got her in. When I turned on the key no led on chip, when I started it still no lights, ran kinda rough and loped. Re checked all connectors and they were tight. When I tried to start it a couple of times it would not start or fire, I would then take plug out of harness and after a couple of those tries it would start.

I get a P2269 which I see is water in fuel??

Any ideas? I really want to go out and try this out! It was only used a couple of tank fulls by previous owner and it worked fine.

I never had the fuel light or code problem before I tried the chip.

I had the little gas station tank looking thing in the middle of the dash on all the time and the check engine light to the left of my volt guage is always on. I drained the filter and disconnected the chip harness. The little gas station thingie is not lite up now but the check engine light is on all the time and the P 2269 code went away but now I have a P0193 code.

Now what before I shoot myself?

Are you sure you have everything connected correctly? I hate to ask but the XZT box is pretty simple and there's not much to go wrong...

Do you have the MAP and Railpressure plugs switched? They will plug into each other with very little force.

Yes , make sure you have the color coded plugs in the right positions. As said very east install. If no lights on the Quad box it isn't installed right or it isn't working correctly. Make sure the plug from the cable to the Quad box is correct, it can be forced in wrong also. Like the directions say, if the correct light sequence dosen't happen do not try to start it. My guess is that you have set a hard code that will clear itself after the right number of good starts. Recheck your wiring & plugs. Recheck your connection to the box from the cable. After that if still not working call Jeremy at Quad in the am and maybe he will have another suggestion. But remember if the box dosen't flash the right sequence of lights, there is something still wrong so "DO NOT TRY TO START"

Will the XZT work with the race box harness? Are all the harnesses the same?

You can not plug the MAP and Fuel Rail plugs into one another, they are totally different plugs.

What you did do is you plugged your factory male connector into the XZT harness incorrect. When I say incorrect you would need to unplug the male connector turn it 180 degrees and plug it back in. On the female connector you will see there is a guide on one side and a ramp for the factory locking tab to slide up over and lock on. You had the locking tab over the side with the guide. If you go take a good look at the XZT female connector you will see what I am talking about.

I responded to your PM. The box will work on his truck as it came off of a newer truck. The wiring harness is sort of a long story and makes little difference in this case.

Cummins Dsl is 100% absolutely correct or the other side did not get connected at all.

No LED = DO NOT START.
