I have had these two turbos sitting in my house for 2.5 years.

They are both holset one appears to be rebuilt the other is brand new.

They look like they have t4 exhaust sides both. One has a 7 blade compressor bigger, and one has an 8 blade compressor smaller.

The on with th black spray paint is the rebuilt one, the other is the new one.

The one with the black spray paint has a tag on it that says HX50.

any ideas.

 

Well the one with the HX50 tag on it is an HX50. The other one I'm not quite sure of but it's big.

The other one looks similar sized...so I'm gonna guess H2E. It may be older than that, though!

Either way, they take a lot of fuel to spool. At 400-425hp, they's light around 2500RPM with stock head/cam!

Look just inside the inlet for the exhaust....there should be a number cast in the housing to tell what size it is.......Like this......

 

both of them have a number 19 stamped on the inlet of the turbine (exhaust side).

Also the brand new one ha the numbers 3525198 stamped on the center section.

 

and on the turbine housing of the new one there is also a 3631771 stamped
