I am purchasing a fully built Goerand Inc tranny within the next two weeks... Does anyone know of a place in SA that I can have it installed without damaging anything and that won't charge me an arm and a leg.... This tranny is already costing me alot. I would like to do it myself..... I can use the Auto hobby shot on base, but I don't have anyone to help me with it???? any suggestions?????

 

If you are not experienced with transmissions I would have ti installed professionally. There is plenty to mess up. Texas Diesel Injection should be able to do it. They are on the NE side in the I35 Toepperwein area. http://www.texasdieselinjection.com/ I live near by there. If I wasnt as busy as I am I would help you but I will not have much free time until may/june when I am done with clinicals/school.

 

I did mine by myself & there was a little bit of a learning curve. I've had mine out several times since & its been much faster. See if you can find anyone local that's done it before to help you out. At the very least, you'll need help getting the old transmission off the jack & the new one out of the crate and on the jack. Also, get a bunch of 3/8ths extensions if you decide to try it yourself.

You'll be very happy with Dave's transmission. He does a very good job.

did you ever get this done? I have another buddy with a shop over off of randolph blvd and weidner that can do it for a good price I am sure. real nice dude. let me know if you need his #, I will pm it to you.
