Please explain Corrupting the ECM's?

 

SMARTY all the way, power is great and dealer didn't detect mine. Just got mine out of the shop yesterday.

 

can my truck handle the smarty on sw#6?
or should i get the junior on sw#3?

 

i have bd and it gives me great power, with NO problems with my ecu!!! you cant adjust smarty on the fly and that is one of the biggest dissapointments to me.

 

I will second that.. If the BD isnt peak power then its dam close.. Are you racing for money?

I had a 01 f250 with a chip that I could switch in the cab. Then a 06 F250 that I had to flash w/ a SCT. After the flashing BS, I said NEVER AGAIN!! Once you have the ajustability, its had to give it up.. Too hard for me. BD please

 

ECM becomes inoperable and must be replaced by dealer or bully dog.

 

Smarty hands down.. I liked the Bd but like wreed BD made my truck to crazy stuff!!!

 

Don't count the Edge out!! I love the power and being able to adjust on the fly. The costomer service can't be beat hands down, I'm sure there are some as good but not better IMHO !! If you do go with the smatry witch I think looks like a to notch programer , you should look into the new Edge monater , because it will give you trans slip %.

 

Thanks guys, looks like the majority is all for the smarty s06. Is there a monitor like the edge attitude or anything that will work with the smarty? And if so, can you adjust the smarty's power levels on the fly with it? Smarty needs to come out with a monitor. But, all at the same time if I go with gauges, they are always there and later on if I want to change to a different programmer, I can without buying the monitor and all. I don't know guys, judging by everyone's comments I still think I'll probably get the smarty jr. for the time being. Who knows what will be available by the time im tired of that. I don't think I need the smarty s06 yet, and I don't want to mess up the ecm either with a BullyDog. Thanks guys, anymore comments would still be appreciated...

I just got a smarty sr for my latest truck an 06 with a manual on 7 I can slip the clutch in 3rd gear and up at any thing more than 1/2 throttle on three it does okay but it still feels like its slipping a just little bit. but my clutch may be exceptionally weak it has 40000 miles on it

 

I really like the commander, I like the looks alot better than the edge attitude. Im probably going to get the smarty jr. If I get that and the commander, can I control the smarty jr's power levels with the commander? Also, what all gauges can you observe with the commander? Im sure boost, and pyro, what about fuel pressure? what else?

i'm pretty sure that bullydog is the only downloader that lets you change power levels without having to go through the download process. with smarty jr., you will have to plug in and download to change power levels.
