I'd say it must be wired wrong or the lockup solonoid is stuck in the locked position for some reason. If you had no problems before the install, it must be in the wiring. I would very carefully check the wiring. Looking at the directions, it seems that the chance is there that one could tap into the wrong wires as there are more than one with the same colors. I know there's more than one purple wire w/ yellow tracer and that seems to be the most important one.......

Mine works fine but ever since installing it my speedo jumps around about 5mpg over and under my actual speed. It doesn't seem to affect anything though.....

Bd speed eliminator

I just put one on my truck, but you two probably are running the RAD and not the top speed eliminator,..right? It (the RAD) wasn't available for the 04.5. Anyway, after install I called BD and they said my gauges wouldn't turn off like with the RAD and that instead mine would not go over 85mph on the gauge as it has some kind of ecm fooling device and it will continue to power past the oem top speed threshold, which is what I wanted for the 1/4 mile. I've only had it on for a couple days but I've noticed two things. For some reason the kick down speed has lowered from the 60 to 65 range to 55mph. Also it doesn't shut my gauge down or hold it at 85 like they told me as I've seen low 90s in a trial run the other day. Can anyone shed any light on this unit for the 04.5 model and what I can expect and what is causing these two situations? Tks.

OT. It basically just clips the vss sensor signal so that when voltage and indicated speed get high they can only go so high. It helps to compress that last 20mph so that full fueling is in effect. I think they mean about 85mph. Low 90's and your ok. Have you done a top speed run. My speed is accurate up to 60mph and then it starts getting off. I get an extra 13 or 14 mph then I go out on rpm's. If your top speed is off then you have a problem. Your shiftpoint has gone down because of the fooling. I found that sometimes I'd go from 1st to 4th if I didn't have od unselected. Pay around with your tow haul and see if it helps. ks

I guess i'm running the rad but not sure. I learned today that if i pull the gear shifter in first that it want shut off and man it lauches out when i lock it in 4x4. I'm running the edge juice and ez together and the truck does great no problems unlike I've been told. I guess that its just the way the truck does I've checked the wiring and its hooked up right haven't tried it with the od off yet, let you know how that goes. Also BD says that the tire calibration won't work on my truck but it does can't firgure that one out neither.
thks
