Looks good, easy install since I took it to a shop ($100), but...............

............I got death wobble at a lower speed than usual! I was getting death wobble at around 75-80 w/ 315's, so I guess I was going about 7mph faster than that. Now, with HBS 2, it did it around 70mph on my speedo which is about 77mph. Not cool~! I do have 78k on my truck and stock shocks, so I think thats the main reason, and it didnt ride any different, only a tad bit more stiffness that you can harldy tell. Other than the death wobble you can harldy tell, but it feels like a lifted truck compared to before though. I checked the spacers after the 2 death wobbles on my way home, and they seemed fine. I am also in very bad need of some new tires, they are wall-erd out!!! I have my name and number 1st in line for the next set of H2 takeoffs at all dealerships around Dallas, so the next gangster who puts 20's on their hummer, I will be in business!

!!!!!Now, how do I get rid of the Death wobble??? For good?? I want to be able to run it at 100mph and not worry about it! Will the Bilstiens fix it, do I need a new steering component that may be worn out, , steering stablizers, or what?? I know I didnt get DW until my 315 bfg started wearing funny, and a new set should help, but what else??!!!??!!??!
not sure I understand what you're saying. You already have 315s which caused DW and now that yu added the spacers, the DW is worse?

Most of my miles are highway miles, not pulling. I dont think my ball joints are out, maybe I could use a new tie rod, but tires, yes. I do need shocks too!

Shouldnt the ball joints last more than 78k?

just want to make sure we're talking about the same thing, DW is the thing when it hit a bumps/pot holes and truck starts shifting left and right, like its hopping to much and the steering wheel shakes on the bumps as well.

I think I would go ahead and buy some new tires and shocks and get the front end aligned. Then see if you still have a problem.

I doubt the HBS kit had much, if anything, to do with the DW.

Well ya, but much more violent! I know it has to do with my worn tires, just wondering if shocks and a tie rod, or a steering dampner will help with it?

Anyone have the bilstien 5100 part #??? For the longer ones? Where is a good place to get em??

you are trying to mask the culprit in this situation with shocks or a steering stabilizer. You need tires if your tires are worn like you say they are. No need in getting an alignment down if you have worn out tires. Just a waste of time, as the tires play a large part in the alignment process as well.

Here's the part number for the fronts:BE5-6681-H5. Go here for the shocks. They have free shipping on orders over 200 stones. Look half way down the page and you'll find 'em. They're listed under 03-04 dodge ram 2500; lifted 2" in front, 0" in rear. They'll fit all the way up to 06 though. Never mind the steering stabilizer. It'll only mask other problems. Get new tires (maybe smaller, 315's are more likely to cause DW than 285's) and get new shocks. You can't go wrong with bilsteins.

Tires are in my definate immediate future. Just waiting for my H2 wheels, nobody has any takeoffs at the moment!

So do you guys think its the shocks, or the tires?? Or both?

For me it was both. Have the tires Roadforce balanced. I had about 8 inches of weights on some rims. Two of the BFG's were replaced as defective because they couldn't even Roadforce them. Keep the front tire pressure above 45 psi on the road. Balance and rotate frequently, as in every 5,000 - 10,000 miles. I have Rancho shocks and they have to be turned up in the 7 plus range. (I wouldn't buy Rancho's for a cummins again.)

I liked the smoother ride of about 40 psi and 5 or 6 on the Rancho's, but sometimes I would hit a rough patch of highway at 60+ and the tire would start bouncing due to the soft BFG 315 sidewalls and out of balance and the Rancho's didn't have enough dampning to stop the oscillation. With the higher psi I can feel that the tires are rolling better, that made the biggest difference.

My theory on BFG 315's is that the best ones are sent to GM to put on the Hummer's and the rest are a crap shoot. One set was purchased from Discount and 2 were defective for balance. Purchased 2 sets of take-offs and none have been un-balanceable.

I also think that the H2 rims balance better since the weights are farther apart by half an inch. Not a whole lot, but that's a lot of tire to get under control.

I do believe that every vehicle is different so YMMV.
