The Triple Dog will allow you to turn highs on with the fogs.

Yea jumping the relays works, but I have read somewhere that it is not good to do that on a 3rd gen. On mine, I made my own brite box with 2 relays from the parts house. So when I turn my brites on the fogs and low beams stay on. Just make your high beam wire the trigger for the relays. Then spice the other wires into the low beam and fog wires. And of course you have to have a 12v supply and a ground for the relays. It is about a $15 mod that takes about 2 hours to do. Way cheaper than buying the brite box. If you wanted you could also switch the 12v to the relays to keep it in stock form or BRITE form.

Actually that doesn't work either. I posted some time ago on Dodge Truck World about attempting this mod. On the 04's and up the lamp out will illuminate since it's not seeing the headlight load throught the relay. It thinks the bulb burned out. Also, there's some strange reverse polarity happening in the curcuit so it takes a while to figure it out. The Brite Box seems to be the only way to make it work and not give you a lamp out light. If you do get it to work by showing it the correct load and everything, then there's a few second delay in the signal I'm told by Brite Box boys and the lights have a delay turning on for some reason.

With that said, someone posted a while back about modding the blinker arm to remove the detent. This allows the optical horn function to work which has both on at the same time (intented functionality). However, you have to pull on and push off the switch after that. It doesn't return on it's own. Might be a cheaper mod then Brite Boxes though as they are overly expensive IMHO for what they are. They'd sell a boat load more if they sold them for half of what they do.

I don't know. I do know that I dont have a lamp out indicater, and there is no delay in how they come on. They have been that way on my tuck over a year wirh no problems. If you didnt want the voltage to feed back to the relay or ECM where ever the wires from the headlight go to, then all you would need is a diode in line. Although on the 04.5 I know there is no need for it.

do we have to worry about this for 03 trucks?

i am just a little lost i guess

so this trick is leaving the fog lights and low beam on when we turn i high beam on ?

and its a just a simple wire hook up between fuses no grounding them

Not sure. All I know is it didn't work on my 04 HEMI. I got in contact with Brite Box and we went through it and I see why it didn't work. It's not a straight up voltage like the 90's. It's computer controlled and gives some strange feedback. That's why no one has done it. Not sure how you're getting away with it.

Yea I understand that, but the way I have the relays wired in. It does not affect the factory system at all. Just the high beam wire to trigger my relays. And a relay draws hardly in any power. There is some theads on here with scheamatics showing exactly how to do it.

Mine is wired the exact same way, 2 relays triggered by the high beam current. AWESOME and NO "lamp out" issues.
