Have to say... not impressed with TS SHift master

Weather was perfect, figured now would be a good time to install my new TS shift enhancer, I bought last fall.

First off, I figured I would check that I have all the parts to complete the install, Nope I'm missing a t-tap so off to the store to buy a t-tap and some wire loom because the wire harness is completely unprotected,(which I think is pretty silly considering the wires may or may not rub on the tranny etc...).

Look at the directions and all that is shown is a close-up pic of a plug that you tap into, no p-shopped arrows to the wires to tap, no pic of where to find the plug (almost on top of the trans BTW) Just a big ol close up of the plug.

OK, I got all the hardware , "Check". Found the plug "Check" mount box on fuse box "Check" All wires from TS harness to tap into plug... WTH ! 2 wires are half the length of the other wires.......

After a couple of hours of messing around, I close my hood and leave this "Plug and play" hardware (as described by TS) to be installed another day.

I'll see if I can get the right harness from TS, but because I live in Canada and bought it Mail order maybe it would be easier and faster to just splice the short wires for my t-taps.

I am sure this hardware works great , just a little frustrated.

*Note to TS* maybe make the harness leads 3' longer and I'll mount the box under my dash out of the elements.

Get the DTT Shift Enhanser. More bang for the buck and whole lot better track record.

The TS shift enhancer does work. I have had it on my truck now for a couple months. I usually drive around on the tow setting because the race setting hangs onto a gear too long in my opinion. It was kind of a pain to install with the plug right on top of the tranny and all and i did extend the wires and wrapped everything in loom. Overall i am satisfied with it, it does exactly what it is supposed to do.

i had a bad experience with mine i wish i never installed it. first off its wansn't plug and play and was kinda hard to splice the wires on the trans. they also didn't supply enough wire so i had to extend it. i called ts about and were no help and said thats normal and not supposed to reach to the plug on the trans , once installed it worked ok on the 1st setting but the other 2 my trans hunted alot and was a pos, i then took it out and happy with the stock programming again. i wish i never did it now i am worried about the splicing on the trans plug

I put mine on over the weekend and I am pleased with the results. I was nervous as there seems to be a lot of people that are unhappy with them, but I liked it and it is working fine. Now I can't get the 1-2 hunt even if I try.

While my tranny is out getting a new TC/VB I'll get the installer to splice it for me than we'll see if it works for me.

I am hoping with the new GM solenoid "fix" that it would fix the 1-2 hunt and just increase line pressure in 15lb increments per setting.........( I know DTT's does this)

Yes, i like it....it's pretty tight and got rid of the mushy stock feel, holds the power for 10psi 4x4 boosted launches and is civil for a mechanical dodge trans...it's good piece of mind...would do it over again knowing what i know now.
