Governor solenoid
Governor solenoid
Has any one had a problem with having them taken off and had the tranny not shifting right. I am having a probldem with 1-2 shifts. The transmission seems to be jumping into 2nd then back to first really quickly. Any advise.
tranny actuator? its especially bad on 06's...but usually its 2-3 shift
When we bump up the line pressure on our 48's it does cause the solenoid to go out prematurely. Replace rapidly!! It can kill your entire trans. I know by experience. However do not be alarmed if this does occur in the next few monthes again. It is a fairly common occurence.

Aint the valves. It is the pressure soleniod. I have built trans also. 2weeks after I had the thing go out again 4 the 3rd time. However that was about 7 monthes ago and have had no prolems since. Just know to watch for it. It will cook a built trans if it goes and is not repaired almost immediatly.
Thanks for the heads up about it going bad and to get it fixed quick. I guess in the next two weeks I will have a full built Hts in. Waiting on billet input and hub. I can't wait for it to be done. Next up turbo/'s

Very easy to replace the presssure solenoid. Drain the trans pan, remove trans pan, remove the filter. Should be looking at that time for a small round almost looks like a small pill bottle. remove it and disconnect the wiring to it . Reinstall new, fill back up with fluid.
Thanks for the reply. Expressfish said he had the governor and transducer solenoids replaced. Does this imply we need 2 parts or is this the same as the "governor pressure solenoid" part you described?

the replacement goveror pressure solenoid should cost from the dealer bout 50.00.
