Gonna try TNT again, need advice

I love the 4.4, but curiosity has aroused and I want to try TNT again. This time I want advice on what levels to run, and what I should keep my MP-8 on (keep in mind this will be on).

From looking at it on Mads, this is what my mind tells me to do. Suggestions appreciated, I want as close to 4.4 as possible. What sw should I try first? I was thinking sw3.

TM 4
Inj Timing 0 or 3
RP-3

TIA

Rick

Alright, I will be trying that tomorrow. I figured wild TM would get me better response. Guess that won't be the case.

Ran SW3
TM 4
RP 3
Timing 0
Had popping in 3rd gear. Power felt better than before, but fell flat on its face in 3rd gear. 2nd gear was extremely strong. I will be trying the following tomorrow:

SW5
TM2
RP 3
Timing 0

Will sw 5 be too much for a stock CP3 and stix? Will this stop the popping?

Third gear popping is most likely from a lack of rail pressure....You are out of fuel.

Daily driving I run SW#1, TQ-2, TM-3 (spools turbo way better than 2 or 0), RP-2. For the track I run SW#9, TQ-4, TM-3, RP-3. Works well for me and my MPG stays pretty steady around 18mpg Hand Calc....

That's what i was afraid of. So no setting will alleviate this popping like the first time i tried it?

4.4 is waiting with open arms....I love that tune!

If it is popping from timing, then try setting #3 in timing and see if it goes away... if not from timing, then you are out of fuel in the rail. Try it and see...

Although with stock stix you should not have an issue with timing-- but it happens... it did to me anyway.

I've done this w/ no luck, even on level #1,2,4 I'm giving my 03 some cement shoes and dumping her in the river.

Changed some stuff like you said soulezoo, on sw5 it doesn't pop, but its gutless down low without the MP-8 all the way up. In order to kick this goat I have to really put it to the floor, it just isn't working out my way no matter what i try, eliminate one thing to lose power and response. Takeoff in 3rd doesn't pop, but it has a weird sound i can't explain, the truck just didn't sound normal. So i will be downloading the beloved issue free 4.4 beta, going back to sw5 and Mp-8 on 50, and call it as good as its gonna get for me for now. Thanks everybody.

Tom, don't kill your truck man!!!! Let's just both go back to betas and stay old school until Marco gets it figured out. (However long that may take)

Mine does the same but only in third gear at 2500 rpm. Rail pressure reads 23k or more too. But none of the other gears do it. Rail pressure is the same in all gears but for some reason I get a pop in third. Rip is this what yours does? Also mine will do it on SW 1 too.

Exactly what mine does, only in 3rd gear if I punch it from a roll. It did it 3 times simultaneously and pretty much ticked me off. Needless to say the 4.4 is back on and the truck is now problem free again. I still don't understand the popping issue, I think there is more involved than draining the rail, its just been said over and over again. I wish there was a TNT passcode that gave a replicated version of the betas, its tune with some extra tweaks. As a new downloadable program. Wishful thinking I guess.
