gauges...or monitor??

I'm gonna buy one or the other here with my christmas money from the family. I like that the Quad Commander has all the features and it's compact. I like that I can keep my handle on the a-pillar as well. But I like regular gauges, seeing those needles rise is awesome. I'm just not sure of where to put them, I really want to keep the handle. But I also don't want to look that far away from the road to stare at my gauges. It's a big dilemma to me and I just can't decide. What would you guys do? I'm thinking of going with Isspro analog gauges. Boost, pyro, and 30# fuel pressure. Also where's the cheapest place to get monitors or other gauges?

I have gauges in one truck and a Commander in the other. I love the Commander. I will be putting a Commander in my wifes truck.

I have gauges, and have only ever had analog gauges, and I love them. They are easy to read, and serve there purpose well.

I toiled over this with my new truck. I had Isspros in the old one and loved them, no issues at all. I ended up with Di-Pricols in this one, like them very much too.

I am STILL not apposed to a monitor, price isn't even worth arguing over it's so close. I guess what really swung me is the people that were claiming to not have full visibility depending on lighting, glare in some situations and whatnot. That and the at a glance advantage of where the needle is in the sweep (like fuel pressure sitting at about 11 O'clock looks "normal" to me at a glance).

It's a toss up.......

I just ditched my dipricols for a commander....I am so glad to get rid of my rattly dipricol boost gauge they look and work great but no matter how I tied the tubing up I still had a rattle when I got on it hard(even after I had it warrantied once)
Dipricol and then isspro are still my choice in analog....but I am really impressed with my commander. so as of right now I say get the commander

I really like the SPA dual gauges. You can have a combo EGT/boost gauge in a SRT-10 single pod pillar w/the handle. They're very accurate and have programmable alarms and a peak recall feature. The recall thing is really handy because you can keep your eyes on the road and still know the true max readings during a run.

There's some pics in my gallery if you're interested.

So basically the commander is just like gauges except with and LED screen. Does the commander come with all of the wiring?

Yes. Well, it's just like ONE gauge, with all the readings.

I think the fuel pressure sender is extra, adds up to somewhere around $50 more than you would spend on analogs with all the related fittings if my memory serves me.

It won't be more if you figure in a rail pressure gauge for sure.

I like analog gauges but with a commander there are a lot more functions than just gauges. Setting defuel points, data logging, etc. The flickering numbers drove me nuts, and thats why I got rid of it. To each his own.
