Gauge Installation Help

I have the guages but need the installation hardware. I have the thermocouple, but I need the boost line and fittings, and the trans temp accessories. Does anyone know of a place online that I can get this hardware from?

For those of you who have put in a trans temp gauge, is there a thermocouple for that also? Never seen a kit before on trans temp other than on the net.

So you don't have to drain the fluid and put something in the pan then?

you can, or you can put it in the line to the cooler i believe...or if you want to do it the simple way, the way the kits are supposed to be done, but also least accurate you put it in a test port...there is only one that touches the fluid..and i dont think it touches it too often bc my gauge reads cooler than it should...

I have my trans temp pulling from the test port, and my readings are in line with all the other temps that are posted using the hotline or pan.

after just doing some reading mine are the same too...its much easier...just remove bolt and put the sensor in...mine is passanger side towards the back that is facing the pass door...it is the one above the bolt that is the same facing down...there was a post that a guy went to the dealership to check and see which one sees the most fluid and this one was it...i just cant find the thread right now...Jason

ok, thanks for that info, now I just need to know where to get the sensor from. I have the three gauges, but the boost gauge and the trans temp gauge do not have the probe/sensors that are needed. Just the wires coming out of the back of the gauges...

Get in touch with the makers of the gauges. Give them a call and tell them what you need and I'm sure they'll be able to help you out.

As far as where you locate the tranny temp sending unit, it really doesn't matter as long as you understand when the tranny is too hot or not. Readings taken from different areas can vary as much as 30 degrees, so you need to do your homework on what is hot based on where the sneding unit is located.

Good luck!
