Garmin street pilot C330
ordered a GPS unit for my truck today, it's a Garmin street pilot C330, a friend has one & I tried it out & that thing is awesome, I didn't look at really any other models, cuz I don't know alot about them, but the one in his truck worked awesome & was really easy to use so I figured I'd go with it, does anybody know much about it??? thanks alot, Dusty
Can you PM me how much you paid? I've seen it for a low, low price at wal-mart compared to many other places. My uncle has one and I think it's pretty sweet. It is very accurate, when you're at an intersection or something and you look at the screen it has you dead on it. It is easy to use, I just have a little trouble typing information in since I have big ol' sausages for fingers. I was going to get one, but I think i'm just going to get Microsoft's streets & trips for my laptop.
I got one with the rental car when in LA recently, I wouldn't go someplace new without it. I was able to buzz around So Cal like a native, finding my way to such places as the Queen Mary and Newport Beach without a single wrong turn. I'm not sure which model it was, but it was some flavor of Garmin Street Pilot.
I think that all new cars should have them automatically. Think of how many people can't drive, don't know their own neighborhoods and waste fuel getting lost. That brings me to a whole other topic I get frustrated with - traffic light timing.....grrr!! It is just awful sometimes. Oh, and stop signs....it's about time cities familiarized themselves with the concept of a roundabout. They have them on the northside of our city in the "richer" area and they work wonders if people know how to use them...but everywhere else it's backup city at every sign.
okay, you can have your thread back, lol
