I got the one with the nipple so I could put a piece of hose on it and direct the oil directly into a bottle if needed. It really helps on a windy day when the oil would otherwise be blown around making a mess on the driveway...
I had the EZ drain on my 03 and it worked great too.

When I switched over to synthetic oil I thought that it might leave a little of the old oil in the pan because of the threads sticking up in the pan. After leaving the Fumoto open for about thirty minutes I took it out and no more oil came out.

Got a buddy that may want it though, how much you want for it?
I've got the one with the nipple. I'd take $20.00 for it.

I've had a fumoto valve with nipple in for the last 5 years and am real happy with it. If I were to buy another, I'd get one without the nipple though. Whenever I've used a hose to drain the oil, it took way too much time for me.

As far as worrying about some puddling of old oil in the pan, how can you be sure there isn't any puddling in the bottom of the pan with the drain plug removed? That puddling is the least of my worries. If you've got a good oil change interval worked out, you've got nothing to worry about anyways.

I've drained out 3 gallons of old oil and filled it up with 3 gallons.

I agree, I think the key is a good OCI.

I have a Fumoto w/nipple installed on my ferd 6.0 (don't rib me 'cause I can't find a buyer ). I just ordered a Fumoto w/nipple for my truck because I think that the Fumoto is one of the best oil changing tools that's out there. Not to mention, that the quality is second to none.

Oh yeah, I ordered it for $20 + shipping from a company on eBay.

I just installed one on my 2006. It is leaking out of the handle mechanism.
I'm not real happy with it.

You sure that it's not leaking around the washer and dripping down? I noticed that the washer is pretty black also?

I can't believe that the thing is leaking.....there are thousands of people in the diesel forums and on Bob is the Oil Guy that own Fumoto's and I've never heard of anyone having problems with their Fumoto.

Check to make sure that the Fumoto isn't loose and that the oil is leaking down from the gasket. Hope you get it figured out.
