Fuel vent mod question
Fuel vent mod question
Im about to order the kit, but my question is this...is it easier to remove the bed (if you have enough people to help) or drop the tank? I hate disconnecting fuel lines..i figure the bed is 4 bolts and the filler neck.
I think it's easier to drop the tank, but that's just me. I've done it so many times over the years with all the sender issues from the older trucks that I think I could do it in my sleep.
Not sure if it'd be easier to remove the bed... If you've got the manpower, maybe. I think it'd be more than a few bolts as the electrical wiring leading to the back would have to be removed as well..
Actually, removing the fuel lines from the tank on my 05' proved to be an absolute bear.... Until I actually used my head... Removed the rear wheel, and used two small wire ties to grab the connectors, tightened around it and they slid right off.... and went on just as easy. I could probably do it in 5 minutes, now that I know what I'm doing... Just one of those things that if you've never done it before... it seems impossible.
