Fuel Economy With 35's
Just put a set of 35's on my truck with 48RE and 3.73:1 Axles. Smarty on level 1 and speedo corrected right on (using GPS) seems like fuel economy went way down. I have been driving it pretty easy, but overhead stays in 15-16mpg range were it used to be almost in the 20mpg range (I know not accurate)
Going to try bumping up the Smarty to see if that helps. Anyone have any suggestions or experience with the same setup?

When I was running 35's with a leveling kit and Superchips on Performance setting I was getting 17-18 town and 20 highway. Now with a 6in lift and 37's I get 15-16 town and 18 highway. I too have the auto and 3.73 gears. Hope that helps.

I dont have quite the same set up as you, but when I added my KORE and 35s I lost a lot of milage and power because of the added rolling mass from the larger tires.

Go back to stock tires. I lost power and economy going to 285-75-17's and they are not as tall, nor nearly as heavy as yours. Toyo sells a 285-75-18 which is narrower and lighter than what you have although just as tall, but it would require a rim change.

Typically, Mud Terrain tires will not get as good of mileage as an All Terrain tire of equal size. Then again not getting stuck is worth the mpg loss if a M/T tire is neccessary.

Mine went from 15.5ish stock to 12.5ish stock. After the lifts and few mods I did I still didn't see any noticable improvement in mine. Probably because I liked listening to the exhaust too much.

There usually is a sticker stuck to the inside of the glovebox with this data on it.
