Front Mount Reciever

Is there any front mount recievers available for the 3rd gen trucks? I had one on my 2nd gen, but I can't find anything for the 3rd. If anyone has any info please let me know...

You might check with BigBlueDodge. I think he has a product called "hidden hitch" on his. I don't see any pics in his gallery right now, but I thought I remember that he had some previously. His signature still says he has it. Good luck.

Also, if you put on a front end replacement like Ranch Hand, they have front receivers too. I am saving some buckies to get one in a few months. Maybe Santa will bring me one.

RatherBeMuddin, yes I have a front reciever hitch on mine. Its a Hidden Hitch model 5020 (I believe, I'll have to check on that). Here's two pictures that I have of it

The hitch sits under the air dam, so if you have stock tires then it may be too low for your intended use. I have 315/70/17 tires which raises the hitch to 14" or so above the ground. I bought it as a recovery point (don't have tow hooks), and as a winch mount.

Thanks guys! I must be going blind in my older age, Hidden Hitches website was the first place I looked since that was the brand I had on my old 1/2 ton.

And BBD, I and sitting a little taller by being leveled and about another 1/2 inch with the 285's, so hopefully it won't sit too low. The next time I buy tires I will more than likely throw a 4" kit or so under the ol' girl. My truck didn't come with the tow hooks either, plus my brush guard mounts there anyhow. I wanted a pull point in the front along with a cheap and easy winch mount.

The ol' 1/2 ton...

You can find them here

If I were you, I'd got ahead and get this little add-on. I didn't get it at first, but got tired of cleaning mud out of the hitch, so I went ahead and ordered it. Now that its on the vehicle, it looks nice, and is worth it.
