Fox 2.0 Reservoir Shocks

Does anyone who is running these know how to adjust the stiffness? is it as simple as increasing and decreasing the pressure inside?

What pressure is the nitrogen? They can go as high as 200 psi. Other than that it is valving that has to be changed

But its not just a simple as letting some nitrogen out. You really need to set the the two fronts the same and the two rears the same. You will have to have a high pressure gauge with a special made attachment to set the pressures. Where ever you purchased your shocks from should be able to help you get the tool. If you try to use a tire chuck screwed into a high pressure gauge there will be variance between shock pressures due to the amount of leakage when you push and pull the tire chuck off the fitting. My 06 megacab 4x4 has the shocks that came with the superlift. I was thinking of putting FOX shocks on it as well but I'm thinking I was going to have to let all of the nitrogen out and let them be absorbers so I can still have the nice cushy ride....

"Kings" are very good shocks as well. I do envy you for having those "Kings". Wish I did. I have to hold back some coin for awhile. Then explain to the better half why I need them...

Yes. Kings are the only choice in my opinion for what they are designed for. But are you really planning on taking an 8000 lb truck over tabletops and triples like the Carli truck? In my opinion they are not worth 3 to 4 times the price of what you could pay to get a performance on and offroad ride quality.

Hahahaha, Nice touch Grumpy!

If you need them to ride better, you should contact Don Thuren about revalving them for a ride thats more your style. You might not even have to compromise anything to boot.

I dont really recommend monkeying with the pressures in the shocks to get it to ride better. If it doesnt have enough pressure, the shocks can cavitate and youll get shock fade, you might even get some temp issues.

If you have access to a nitrogen bottle with a 200psi regulator, you can indeed use a standard air chuck to fill em up, though a fancy lock out valve will get you spot on.

thanks halibrand. thats what i was looking for. I wasn't planning on doing it myself. I have never worked on one. I just wanted to make sure I don't have to send them in to get rebuilt for minor change. they came a little stiff for on road and moderate off road. I do a little rock crawling to get to some destinations here in SoCal/ Mexi border, but not fast enough to need these shocks as stiff as they are.
