I'm curious, I went from the stratapore to the Amsoil full flow (to go with the bypass too) and the Amsoil is 98.7% absolute at 15 microns. The bypass is 98.7% absolute at 2 microns.

You'll notice that these filters always have "98.7%" because that's a function of the SAE test profile used to test filters.

I don't remember the exact specs of the ELF- I had done all the research on this awhile back.

It takes a GREAT filter to equal the Fleetguard unit, and truly fantastic one to even hope to surpass it.

I have ran the 3894 in mine since i've owned it.... about 160k. I ws told that it is the same filter as the 16035 without the fluted bottom. That is about $2.50 less than what Ive been paying for them from schied. Thanx for the link.

Jim, that is true. Dig enough through the Fleetguard application charts/guides, and it will tell you the 16035 is the same as the 3894 except for the fluted bottom, which was designed specifically for the Dodge Ram application.

correct! i personally use the 3894 myself. it is always a little cheaper than the 16035.
